Does "mobile java launchers" imply a full on Minecraft Java Edition game, or just a chat client? I'm fairly certain chat clients are allowed, not sure about stuff like Pojavlauncher (I think it was called that?).

You must register with your Java Username, not Bedrock. Autcraft does not work on consoles or mobile. If you have that though, you can get the Java version for free at https://www.minecraft.net

I don't think you can claim Java Edition if you only have Minecraft on console or mobile. From what I've read online, you can only claim Java Edition for free if you have Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC.

Vivecraft is on the list of approved mods. That's supposed to let me play in VR someday.
